As we continue with the February Focus--Love to Give, Burn, and Plan--we move from the "emotion" of love (the infatuation or passion stage) to the "decision" stage (commitment phase)!
Last week, I encouraged each of you to turn your obsession toward those things that are not healthy or helpful into passion for the right things!
This week, I am encouraging you to move from the emotion and passion attached to giving, burning, and planning to making decisions in each area and keeping them.
In my own life, I find that so much MORE money is given, calories are burned, and time is spent wisely when I decide to take small action steps in each area. The power of telling someone what you plan to do, or making a written commitment turns emotion into a decision.
This week...make small decisions in each area such as "I will give 10% of my earning this week to my church or a charitable organization," or "I will burn 200 more calories this week by wearing a pedometer and walking farther to my car/office," or "I will spend 10 minutes each night or morning to plan my day, so I don't waste money or time."
We all know that love that lasts takes more than passion--it requires a decision.
Let's do it together!

Thanks Becky for another wonderful call, which was jam packed with excellent tips.
I appreciate the idea to look at smaller blocks of time for planning the day, though right now I think I am at bigger blocks.
My husband has not gone out on our work vans, for about three years. Now he is training a new employee and has a new enthusiasm for our business. This means, I have the house back to myself during the daytime. Yikes, I have got to get to planning so I have the most productive day (and month).
You are a real blessing to us, Becky.
Thanks again.
And Happy Valentine's Day to all!
Thanks for your great tips this week Becky! Love the squats and lunges (going skiing soon), ordered my pedometer, and the time blocks are key to using time wisely. I really am going to try to break things down into time segments. Thank you thank you!
